UPDATE TO OUR POLICIES AND PROCEDURES DURING COVID:

For this time during the COVID pandemic, we are pausing our 24 hour cancellation policy. If you are not feeling well or have been exposed to someone positive for COVID, we ask that you cancel or reschedule your appointment by emailing us. In turn, we reserve the right to cancel with less than 24 hours notice, if we start exhibiting any signs of illness and hope you understand that this is in the best interest of the safety and health of everyone.

We also ask that if you have traveled recently (either on an airplane or more than 100 miles from home to an area where there are increasing cases of COVID), you wait until at least 14 days after your return to come in for an appointment.

We have updated our protocol to welcoming clients to the studio and have added safety measures around the studio to improve ventilation.

For our treatment space, we will have our window next to the facial bed open at all times with a window fan installed to help with air flow in the room. Because this window opens to a breezeway, there might be occasional noise from someone passing by or smells from the kitchen over at Mission Picnic next door, which we apologize for but we do need to increase fresh air into our treatment space as much as possible.

We also have two new HEPA air filters which will be running the whole time we are there to help clean and circulate the air.

To protect our clients, we will be wearing both a face mask and a face shield during the entire service and to minimize aerosol and respiratory droplets, we are requiring no talking or chatting during the service.

As always, we will be disinfecting all surfaces between clients and also disinfecting high touch areas outside of our treatment room on a regular basis.

* What are your hours?

Illuminata is open 7 days/week, by appointment only. Since we work by appointment only, we may not necessarily be in the office during all posted business hours. We do not have a receptionist, so if you would like to purchase a gift certificate or pick up product, please make an appointment to do so by emailing us here.

Monday: 10am to 5pm
Tuesday: 10am to 3pm
Wednesday: 1pm to 7pm
Thursday: 10am to 7pm
Friday: 10am to 7pm
Saturday: 11am to 5pm
Sunday: 10:30am to 5pm

The last facial appointment begins 1 hour before closing time.

* How do I schedule an appointment?

* What is your cancellation policy?

Starting October 2020 and continuing until further notice, we are waiving our regular 24 hour cancellation notice but also ask that clients are honest with the need to cancel and respectful of our time. If at any time before your appointment you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 as described by the CDC such as a frequent cough, fever, difficulty breathing, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, recent loss of taste or smell, or if you or someone you live with has been diagnosed with COVID-19, please let us know and we will cancel or reschedule your appointment.

In turn, we at Illuminata Skin Care reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any appointment with less than 24 hours notice, if we are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 ourselves, or have had contact with someone who has been diagnosed.

* What forms of payment do you accept?

All major credit cards are accepted via Square. We also accept payment via Venmo. And good old fashioned cash.

* When should I arrive for my appointment?

Please plan to arrive at your scheduled appointment time, unless we call you to confirm otherwise. We do not have a waiting room and will need adequate time in between appointments to properly clean and disinfect so please do not arrive earlier than 5 minutes before your scheduled time.

* What happens if I arrive late?

We try our best to accommodate you if you are running late. However, if you are more than 10 minutes late, we may need to modify your treatment out of consideration for anyone who has booked an appointment immediately after yours. We cannot compromise the later appointments for following clients and your treatment may be modified to maximize your remaining scheduled time.

* Do I need to take off my makeup for my appointment?

Feel free to come as you are. We are more than happy to remove your makeup for you. Please keep in mind that if your makeup requires a lot of time to remove, it may take away from time for the "good stuff".

* Can my husband/boyfriend/partner/guy friend get a facial?

Of course! Do note that it's best for men to shave before coming in for a facial. If he insists on keeping his facial hair, it's not a problem but we will have to work around the areas with thick hair growth.

* Can I book appointments for me and a friend at the same time?

Unfortunately we cannot accommodate this, as we only have one treatment room and can only work on one client at a time.
